Week 2 2016-2017Hi Everyone, This week I have K, 1, and 2 for groups (and one third grade group - their lesson is posted in the previous weeks post) and was wondering how I could introduce myself this year. Low and behold, this wonderful post at Elementary School Counseling caught my eye. What a cool idea! I had to make a few small changes as I did not have a spare tool box kicking around. Here is what I came up with. I was able to do everything that I found at School Counseling Elementary just a little bit differently so that it would work for me. The pile of color next to the smiley face is a jigsaw puzzle I found here. I thought I may need to fill more time and thought this was an easy was to put in a small problem solving activity within my lesson. When completed it says, 'Great Job! <3 Mrs. Hatch". Cute right?! :) I also added The Daily Mood desktop flip book. I thought it may be fun to have kids guess what different faces emotions might be. It's a great way to gauge how many different types of emotions they have in their vocabulary and whether or not you need to work on helping them build that up.
Hooray for week #2! Mrs. Hatch
